How are night minutes counted?

When a drive runs, Wheelbook works out sunset and sunrise at the place you are driving and uses your state's night rule (for example, some states start night 30 minutes after sunset). A drive that crosses sunset is split into day and night minutes automatically. If a state's night rule is not confirmed, the app says so and counts from sunset to sunrise.

Where do the state requirements come from?

Each rule was read from the state's own DMV pages, statutes or forms. The app shows the source and the date it was checked. Where a number could not be confirmed, the app shows "Not confirmed yet" and lets you set your own goal. Requirements change, so confirm with your state's DMV before the road test.

What happens if my phone locks or I switch apps during a drive?

The drive keeps running. It is saved on your phone every few seconds, so even if the app is closed, the next time you open Wheelbook it offers to keep driving or end the drive at the last saved time.

Does Wheelbook track my location all the time?

No. Location is used only while a drive is running, to count night minutes and draw the route. It stays on your device and your own iCloud. Wheelbook never asks for Always location.

How do two parents share one log?

With Wheelbook Pro, open Family and send an invite. The second parent or the teen joins through iCloud sharing and sees the same drives. Only people you invite can see them.

How do I export the log for the road test?

Open Log, then Export. The PDF log is free. With Pro you can sign on the phone, make a one-page notary summary, or fill your state's form where supported. Check the printed form against your DMV's current version.

I bought Pro but it is locked on my new phone.

In Wheelbook, open Settings, tap Wheelbook Pro, then Restore Purchases, using the same Apple Account. Pro is a one-time purchase and works with Family Sharing.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your drives and the PDF log stay available after a refund.

How do I delete my data?

In Settings, tap Delete all data, or delete the app. To remove the iCloud copy, go to Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Storage, Wheelbook.
