What Wheelbook collects

Nothing. Wheelbook does not collect, store on a server, sell or share any personal information, location, usage data or device identifiers. There is no Wheelbook server.

No account

There is no sign-up and no login. You open the app and start logging.

No analytics, no ads

Wheelbook contains no analytics, tracking or advertising code, and no third-party SDKs.

Location

Location is used only while a drive is running, to count night minutes and draw the route map. It is never used in the background when no drive is running, and Wheelbook never asks for Always location. Routes are stored with your drives on your device.

Data on your device and your iCloud

Drives, learners, supervising adults, vehicles and signatures are stored on your device. If iCloud is on, they sync through your own private iCloud account, managed by Apple. The developer cannot see or access it.

If you use Family sharing, the drives of that learner are shared through iCloud only with the people you invite. You can stop sharing at any time.

Weather

With Pro, after a drive Wheelbook can ask Apple Weather (WeatherKit) for the weather at the time and place of the drive to suggest the bad weather tag. The request goes to Apple and is not stored by the developer.

State rules updates

Once a day at most, the app may download an updated state rules file from this website. The request contains no personal data; the web server keeps standard access logs for security.

Purchases

Wheelbook Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; the developer receives no payment or personal details.

Children

Wheelbook is meant for parents and teens with a learner's permit. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

In Settings, tap Delete all data, or delete the app. To remove the iCloud copy, go to iPhone Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Storage, Wheelbook.

Changes and contact
